Charles Robert "Chuckie" Bunnell, 73, passed away Wednesday, April 17th, at Pottsville Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, Pottsville, where he had been a longtime resident.Born in Pottsville on December 25, 1950, he was a son of the late Elaine (Brown) Gilbert, and Ziba T. Bunnell, Jr.
Chuckie completed his grade school education at Patterson School, Pottsville, and later earned a data processing certificate from Schuylkill Vocational Technical School.
He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Schuylkill Haven.
Chuckie had worked at the United Cerebral Palsy Workshop as an assembler.
He enjoyed bowling.
Chuckie is survived by siblings: Thomas Gilbert (Kay), Patricia Mehle (Jim), James Gilbert (Debbie), Michael Gilbert (Denise), Barbara Gonder (Kerry), Michael Bunnell, David Bunnell, & Raymond Bunnell, step-mother, Barbara Bunnell Messinger, nieces, nephews, & extended family.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his step-father, James R. Gilbert, and brother, Larry Bunnell.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday at 11:30 AM. A viewing will be held from 10:30 AM until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Center for Special Learning, with "In Memory of Chuckie Bunnell" on the memo line of your check, and mailed to 302 Randel St., Schuylkill Haven PA 17972.

Joseph M. Trabosh, 77, of Pottsville, died Thursday, April 18, 2024, following a startling diagnosis and courageous battle with cancer. Joseph was born on March 29, 1947 in Pottsville and was a lifelong resident of Schuylkill, growing up on the "East Side" of Pottsville with his parents Veronica (Falkowski) and Joseph Trabosh. He was a 1965 graduate of the Nativity BVM high school, after which he went on to become an electrician for Western Electric, working primarily in New York and Pennsylvania, until settling back in Pottsville. He then became a longtime employee of Argo Knitting Mills until his retirement in 1998.
Joseph married Betty Neumeister in 1980 and together they welcomed a daughter in 1981. He and his wife resided in Pottsville until his recent passing.
Joseph was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish in St, Clair. Prior to that he was a parishioner at St. Joseph's Parish in Pottsville.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 44 years, Betty, his beloved daughter Valerie, wife of Kyle DiVitio, and his cherished grandchildren, Kennedy and Sawyer DiVitio all of Waterford, VA. He is also survived by many relatives, close friends and outstanding neighbors.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at the Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, 515 West Market Street, Pottsville. A visitation will be held from 10-11 AM prior to the service. Joseph will be laid to rest at St. Joseph's Cemetery immediately following the service.

Herman Berkheiser, 82, a resident of St. Clair, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 17th, 2024.
Herman was born in Pottsville on February 24, 1942, a son of the late John Krebs and Ethel Berkheiser. He attended school in Pottsville, and owned and operated Berk's Cleaning Service of Pottsville for over 40 years.
Herman was a life member of the former Greenwood Hills fire company, and was a model train enthusiast. He loved decorating for the holidays, especially Christmas, when he would put his trains as well as many other ornaments on display.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, James Berkheiser, Roger Berkheiser, Ethel Stencovage, Lorraine Zukosky and Howard (Sonny) Berkheiser. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Clara (Kamp) Berkheiser in 2018.
Herman is survived by his daughters, Barbara, wife of Joel Schware of Allentown; Pamela Berkheiser of Northampton and Christine, wife of Oral Kramer of Pottsville. Two grandsons, Eric and Timothy Schware, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Monday, April 29th, 2024 at the Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, 515 West Market Street, Pottsville. A viewing will be held from 9-11 AM prior to the service. Herman will be laid to rest next to his wife Clara at the Schuylkill Memorial Park, immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are asked to be made ot the Pottsville Area Soap Box Derby, 527 Hotel Street, Pottsville, PA. 17901.

Arlene M. Umbenhauer, 95, of Mexico Rd., Pine Grove, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at home surrounded by her family.
Born on May 6, 1928 in Pine Grove, she was a daughter of the late Edwin and Mary Zerbe Heinbach.
She attended the Stanhope Country School and was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove.
Arlene was a Gold Star Mother.
Preceding her in death were her husband of 69 years, Dale R."Uncle" Umbenhauer; three sons, Richard D. Umbenhauer, Sr., Dale Umbenhauer, and Kevin L. Umbenhauer, Sr., a granddaughter, Tracey Umbenhauer; four brothers, Frank, Harold, Edwin "Eddie", and Joseph Heinbach and three sisters, Helen Bray, Irene Miller and Anna Mae Zimmerman.
Surviving are four daughters, Jane Umbenhauer, Sherry and husband Gary Aungst, Betty and husband Barry Smith, Lori and husband Joe Fisher; two sons, Harry Umbenhauer, and Craig Umbenhauer, a daughter-in-law Harriet "Hattie" Umbenhauer, all of Pine Grove; 22 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove, with Kevin Umbenhauer officiating. There will be a viewing on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Jacob's Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove.

John B. Fehr, 64, of Schuylkill Haven passed away Thursday at his home.
Born in Pottsville, September 7, 1959, he was the son of Katie Gilbert Fehr and the late Charles G. Fehr.
John was a 1977 graduate of Blue Mountain High School. He then went on to receive his associate degree from Penn College.
John was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church. He also attended St. Clare of Assisi in St. Clair and regularly volunteered.
He worked for Atlantic Track his entire life, finishing his career as a Territory Account Manager.
John was instrumental in developing the minor league program in Schuylkill Haven and was heavily involved as a Rotarian. He was a former member of the Schuylkill Haven School Board. He was a member and past president of the East Ward Social Club in Schuylkill Haven. John was a lifelong Philadelphia Sports Fan.
John was married to the former Mary Jo Rosenberger for 38 years.
In addition to his father, John is preceded in death by his sister Andre Fehr.
In addition to his wife and mother John is survived by his son Ryan, husband to Brittany. He is also survived by his grandchildren Reece and Remi. John is also survived by his brothers Charles, David, and Robert Fehr.
A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 A.M. at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church in Schuylkill Haven. A visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services. Grabowski Funeral Home, Schuylkill Haven is entrusted with the services.

Mark Anthony Butler, Sr., 45, of Minersville, passed away Wednesday, April 17th, at his residence.
Mark was born in Pottsville, Pa. on April 29, 1978, a son of the late Denise Kay (Harrison) and John A. Butler, Sr. He enjoyed riding Dirt bike's, fishing, camping, listening to "Real" country music, as well as rock music, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a niece, Tealy Butler, and nephew John Cholko-Butler.
Mark is survived by his fiancee’, Tara Himmelberger, a daughter, Tamara Hain three sons Gage M.A. Hummel, Mark Butler Jr., and Nathan Butler, a step daughter, Callie Himmelberger, and a a step son, O'Ryan Himmelberger. Also surviving are three sisters, Tammy Martin, Melissa Butler, and Tracy Butler, and a brother, John Butler Jr. He is also survived by grandchildren, Mia Hain, & Lyla Fisher, 8 nieces, 6 nephews, 2 great nieces, and 3 great nephews.
All Services are private at the convenience of family.

Carol Ann Neidlinger, 75, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Thursday, April 18th, at The Gardens at York Terrace, Pottsville.
Born in Pottsville on July 31, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Gertrude (Ebert) and Raymond Reifsnyder.
Carol was the widow of Barry Neidlinger, Sr.
She was a member of Grace Evangelical Congregational Church, Schuylkill Haven.
Carol was employed as a sewing machine operator for HL Miller's as well as a hostess for Blue Ridge Hotel.
She is survived by two daughters, Peggy Hamm and Lee Ann Anderton; grandchildren, Angela Schaeffer and Scott Seiders, husband of Tiffany; siblings, Sandra Fahringer and Elmer "Buddy" Reifsnyder.
At the family's request, memorial donations may be forwarded to Red Creek Wildlife Center, Inc. 300 Moon Hill Drive Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972.
