The USDA conducted its Snow Survey of Mores Creek Summit Friday near Idaho City. The Mores Creek Summit site is one of 78 other automated snow tell sites around Idaho. The goal of the snow survey is to monitor snow pack in the mountains so agricultural industries can plan for the growing season. The survey is conducted monthly, and samples are taken from numerous locations around the state, giving everyone a clearer picture of yearly snowfall
